All school-aged children must be enrolled in school and attend every day – this is the law.
In Western Australia, children can start their education in Kindergarten. Compulsory schooling starts the following year in Pre-primary. Click Here to find out when your child is due to start school.
Although Kindergarten is not compulsory, children who will be four years old by 30 June in the year they go to Kindergarten can attend, and parents are encouraged to enroll their children.
Children attending their first year of compulsory school must be five years old by 30 June in the year they attend Pre-primary.
Every child from Pre-primary to Year 12 is guaranteed a place at their local public school.
Please acccess the Enrolment Form here. Please Email forms to southwell.ps@education.wa.edu.au
